After two weeks of drenching rain in Florida, the clouds in the sky parted early Friday morning just in time for Meghan and Wes’ wedding. The ladies gathered early at Stella Luca Salon in Winter Park, looking forward to a relaxing morning. The stylists at Stella Luca did an amazing job with both hair and makeup. We even snuck Meghan’s wedding dress into the salon for a few shots in the stylish lounge area. It’s not easy to look so fabulous, so we all took a quick break at Crispers for lunch before heading to the church.
We arrived at First United Methodist Church in downtown Orlando, the sun still shining, and the ladies donned their dresses in the parlor. Meghan was absolutely stunning in her lace wedding dress and looked like she had just stepped out of the era in which the parlor was decorated. Classic. Modern. Beautiful.
Meghan and Wes will both be pastoring their own churches soon, so it’s no surprise that their ceremony was perfect. I think that I’ve cried at some point in every ceremony that I have witnessed, but this was different. This time I could not stop the tears rolling down my face at the end of the ceremony. I watched Mr. and Mrs. Kelley walked down the aisle together, their eyes full of tears of love and joy, their new life ahead of them.
The evening continued at the Winter Park Farmers Market in the heart of Winter Park.v I loved the look and feel of this rustic building that used to be an old train station. The details of the day came together perfectly!
Meghan and Wes, I am so excited for the two of you and everything that God has in store for your marriage. Your wedding was absolutely gorgeous and I was honored to be a part of it. I love you guys and wish you all the best in your new Sweet Home Alabama! (Meghan, I can’t wait to hear how those possum recipes are!)
