Weddings can be fabulous in the rain. And this one was. It wasn’t plan A, but plan B and a few umbrellas turned a rainy wedding day into fun and fabulous gathering of friends and family. Regan knew that her wedding was about more than the weather or the flowers, and so she looked forward to marrying Daniel, rain or shine.

The Pergola in the center of the Duke Gardens was a perfect place for the ceremony and on a rainy day you’ll have the whole place to yourself.
We went back to the Umstead Resort and Spa in Cary, NC for some family portraits and the reception. I can’t get enough of that place. The staff is amazing and the halls are lined with gorgeous art collections, a detail lover’s dream.
